Privacy policy

Your privacy is important to us, which is why we only collect the information we need in order to provide you with our services and to comply with legal requirements. Below, you can learn what information we collect on the Folio London website and how it is used.

By continuing to use this website you accept the use of 'cookies'. Read more about cookies and how you can control their settings.

Who are we?

Folio London is a trading name of Notting Hill Housing (NHH). Where we refer to 'we', 'us' or 'our' in this policy, this refers to NHH. Read more about us and see our full company details.

What personal information do we collect about you?

Folio London collects the personal information you provide - including name, address, email and telephone number - when you contact us online, register with us, book a viewing, apply to rent a property, enter a competition, complete a survey, or request one or more of our services through our website.

We also compile any data necessary to process your application to rent with us. This includes identification and financial information, such as credit card number and billing address. When entering financial information, you will have the option of setting up a recurring payment in your account. If you choose to register your card details, these will be stored with the third-party company Paypoint. Folio London stores only the last four digits of your card along with a token associating your personal record with the full card details registered with Paypoint.

We may ask for sensitive personal information about you or your household in order to help us determine whether a property is suitable for you (e.g. about health, disabilities or any special living requirements) and tailor our services for your needs. We also collect equal opportunities information about our customers, such as ethnicity, language and gender.

When you electronically sign a tenancy agreement on the Folio London website, your 'IP address' will be stored in our system along with the time and date the form was submitted, linking your 'signature' with your username and profile.

If you are an existing customer who has provided us with personal information at a previous time, we aim to keep this correct and up to date. You agree that we may contact you from time to time to update our records, and that we may add new personal information to the existing information we hold about you.

What other information do we collect?

When you visit a website, there is standard information that your browser communicates, including 'IP address', time of visit, browser type and browser language. It also shares general analytics about your visit to our website, such as which pages you viewed, links you clicked or forms you submitted. This data is kept anonymous and does not identify you as an individual. This information is used only to identify general usage trends and help us improve the website experience for customers.

We only track information relating to the use of the Folio London website and Folio London adverts/content on other websites. We do not track your use of websites or content not owned by Folio London or NHH.
